I’m finally settling into my new life in Chicago, but now the man who hates me most in this city knows my new secret. It seems like they just keep stacking up. I can’t tell anyone about who, or rather, what my mother was, or the entire supernatural world will have questions I don’t have answers to. So, for now, I just have to trust that Roman will keep his mouth shut.

It’s time to move on. I can’t be with Mason, but it’s time for my apprenticeship with Dr. Sebastian Vincent to begin, and he’s not simply the smooth flirt I thought.
