On May 4, 2017, Pope Francis announced the beatification of Father Solanus Casey, making him one of a handful of American Blesseds. For those who knew him, this announcement came as no surprise. Many considered him a saint during his life, and hundreds have told stories of his miracles.
In this set of 12 audio lectures, you will explore the powerful life and spirituality of this Irish-American farm boy from Wisconsin. Much like Fr. Crosby did while a novice, you too will discover that Blessed Solanus’s saintliness is not unattainable but rather imitable. Interspersing his own memories, Fr. Crosby examines Blessed Solanus''s life and example. You will follow Blessed Solanus from the struggles of his youth to his final years caring for the poor and sick. Throughout his ministry in New York and Detroit, he exuded peace and trust to the thousands who flocked to him for consolation. As you reflect on his remarkable life, Solanus will call you to a deeper awareness of God''s mercy.
Today more than ever, the world needs the simple but profound message of Blessed Solanus Casey. Let this message lead you to your deepest reality and the holiness that lies within you.
