    Thanks to Audiblie

This speech was very good. This speech was short and to the point. Very motivational. Thanks to Audiblie for a free copy. I hope this isn't the only one.

    Inspiring

When I listened to the President's inaugural address, I had chills. Listening to it again made me realize how far we've come as a Nation. We still have a long ways to go for equality for all, but we're getting there.

    A great speech!

    Farewell, and Thank You

It was an unexpected surprise to find this and so many other Obama speeches available for free on Audible. Although listening now (in the wake of the recent election and amidst the horror of all that is about to happen) was bittersweet, It was still an educational and inspiring listen. Farewell and thank you for your service, sir! We will miss your class, dignity, poise and grace under fire; we will miss your intelligence, thoughtfulness, humor and eloquence more than we can ever say. We won't see your equal for many, many years, if ever.

    Inspiring start

While many experts have criticised the address for its lack of a central theme, it is still a wonderfully compelling look into the inspirational Obama and how he envisages his early days of the presidency.

    Timeless

This is as relevant today as it was the day he gave the speech. This country is not just red or blue states. We are a nation with one flag, and united we stand.

    a breath of inspiration

in these days, 11 + years since this speech, I find hope in the people. our darkest days may or may not be behind us, but the brightest are sure to come. together we stand - divided we fall, the choice is yours to make for yourself.

    We sure need him now!

Faced with the reality of today I was brought to tears listening to this speech and knowing the days of trust and respect for our president are currently over. Will the USA ever be considered a beacon of hope again? Thank you Mr. Obama for showing us what Grace and honor looks like and thank you Audible for sharing the words of this great man.

    Still Inspiring

Whatever your feeling about him as a politician, a president, or a person, Barak Obama can give a speech. I just listened to this for the first time since watching it live. To me, that broadcast was was one of those moments that you always remember where you were and how you felt in that moment. But the words themselves had faded over time and many more speeches given over past decade. I am glad I listened to it again. It reminded me of where we were as a country, and where we have gone since. For better or worse, there are so many parts of this could be said today and make sense for this time as well. And as someone who is burned out on the current president's constant focus on his own accomplishments, there was a refreshing lack of individual self focus. Definitely think that there could not be two people more diametrically opposite when it comes to public speaking. I know which I prefer.
