The world has fallen, swept away by plague and civil war. In a quiet corner of a what remains of the United States, former Scout Team leader Nick Agostine struggles to adjust to peace, wanting to raise corn and kids with his wife. He has a good crop of both growing when the reality of violent war shatters his precious peace.
Called back to active duty, Colonel Agostine is tasked with planning reconnaissance missions for the Scout Teams to take out the leadership of the rebellions Mountain Republic. A final strike to end the last war, but when nuclear weapons become involved, Irregular Scout Team One travels to Florida to in chase of a renegade traitor. Disaster overtakes the Team and Agostine sets out on desperate search to find his missing wife.
Through it all, the question runs, what price loyalty, and does the dream of America still live on in the hearts of men, or has it died in the ashes of barbarism?
