Summary
By the author of "Cagney & Lacey...and Me," this new memoir goes beyond the iconic television show to unearth the gritty reality of a life spent climbing the Hollywood ladder. Barney Rosenzweig answers the burning question every aspiring creative asks: "How did you get started?" He traces his path from the barrio of East Los Angeles to the polished halls of MGM, where a stint as an office boy evolved into a career managing publicity for legends like Paul Newman and producing hits like Charlie's Angels. Not a mere recount of credits, his memoir illustrates the pressure of being the youngest studio producer and the journey to peace in an island paradise, providing an honest, behind-the-scenes look at the heartaches, jubilation, and sheer determination required to succeed in the entertainment industry.©2026 McFarland & Company, Inc.
