The Whistler presents “Christmas Bonus,” originally broadcast December 25, 1944. Episode 135, produced by George W. Allen for the CBS Pacific Network and sponsored by Signal Oil, features Bill Forman as the Whistler, with Cathy Lewis, Jack Moyles, Ken Christy, and Hal Gerard.

On Christmas Eve, former prisoner Mike Cobb is trying to build an honest life while working at a busy department store and shopping for a gift for his wife, Elaine. But a string of cash thefts makes his past impossible to escape, and a modest Christmas music box takes on special importance in this suspenseful holiday drama.

Old Time Radio Christmas Shows presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
