Last Christmas they were just friends. Maybe this Christmas they could be so much more . . .
Tea room assistant Ivy McFarlane's life has lost its sparkle. She once loved her life on the Isle of Skye serving fresh scones and hot chocolate to her regulars.
But Ivy is in love with her boss, Zac Fallon. She's long given up hoping he'll ever return her feelings. So instead, she packs up her life on Skye and runs away from Zac and her broken heart.
Distance from Zac doesn't help to heal Ivy's heartache — or perhaps she's just not ready to forget. His dark eyes, and a smile that could cut through the Scottish mists, are too captivating.
But maybe, just maybe, Zac has been missing Ivy as much as she's been missing him, if only he can find the courage to tell her how he really feels . . .
And it's going to take one huge misunderstanding and an unexpected snowstorm to give them a push in the right direction.
