In late 2020 Aidan and Stephen began walking in the evenings together through their local forest park and felt their discussions were interesting, thought-provoking and made them feel healthier in both body and mind. They decided to try to record some of these chats in the hope of inspiring others to continue the conversation. They want to bring people together over a cuppa, with an aim to create a community that can share thoughts, ideas, love, compassion, and realism in a safe non-judgemental environment while discussing the meaning and purpose of life, health, and much more.

  • #68 - Under Pressure w/ Mary Bradley Wellbeing
    23 Oct 2026

Stress is not the enemy. But when we don't have the tools to manage it, it becomes a problem.

Mary Bradley knows stress. Not just from her master's in the Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing, but from the lived experience of working with many individuals, companies and schools. She joins Stephen for a conversation about the myths around stress, the nervous system, and why "good vibes only" isn't helping anyone. She shares practical tools, the importance of small moments of regulation, and why the car journey home might be the most important five minutes of your day.

And of course, because it's Soul Brew, there's coffee, there's Donegal, and there's a beautiful reflection on why the sea and Donegal might be the best stress management tool of all. • #67 - Girls Just Want to Have Fun w/ Dr. Orlagh Farmer
    18 Sep 2026

Why do girls drop out of sport and what can we do to keep them playing?

Dr. Orlagh Farmer knows this question better than most. She's a six-time All-Ireland winner with Cork, a PE teacher, a lecturer, and the researcher behind the Gaelic4Girls programme. Her PhD looked at why girls leave sport and what clubs, coaches, and parents can do to change that.

Orlagh sits down with Stephen to talk about the real barriers: lack of fun, too much pressure, body image, puberty, social media, and the powerful influence of friends. But she also brings solutions that any club can make. This is a conversation about belonging, confidence, and the life skills that sport gives us. It's for coaches, parents, teachers, and anyone who cares about keeping girls in the game. This one's for the girls.

  • #66 - Home w/ Aidan Hunter
    21 Aug 2026

Aidan is home and we ask "What does home mean to you?"

In this deeply personal episode, Stephen and Aidan reunite for the first time since Aidan stepped back from the show. They sit down to talk about home, what it means, where we find it, and what happens when the people who made it feel like home are no longer there. Stephen opens up about the recent passing of his mother, a woman who embodied the simple things: a good cup of tea, time with family, and slowing down. Aidan reflects on his own journey between Vienna and Donegal, the pull of two homes, and the hard work of building community in a foreign city.

Together, they explore grief, belonging, and the truth that home is less about a place and more about the people who make us feel seen. This is a raw, honest, and ultimately hopeful conversation about loss, love, and what we carry with us.
