    Description

"Euan Morton returns to narrate the final installment in the Simon Snow series. Morton's exceptional talent shines as he modulates between European and American accents and seamlessly shifts tones to bring each distinct character to life...Full of intense passion, this conclusion should not be missed." -AudioFile Magazine, Earphones Award winner

New York Times bestselling author Rainbow Rowell's epic fantasy, the Simon Snow trilogy, concludes with Any Way the Wind Blows.

In Carry On, Simon Snow and his friends realized that everything they thought they understood about the world might be wrong. And in Wayward Son, they wondered whether everything they understood about themselves might be wrong.

In Any Way the Wind Blows, Simon and Baz and Penelope and Agatha have to decide how to move forward.

For Simon, that means deciding whether he still wants to be part of the World of Mages — and if he doesn't, what does that mean for his relationship with Baz? Meanwhile Baz is bouncing between two family crises and not finding any time to talk to anyone about his newfound vampire knowledge. Penelope would love to help, but she's smuggled an American Normal into London, and now she isn't sure what to do with him. And Agatha? Well, Agatha Wellbelove has had enough.

Any Way the Wind Blows takes the gang back to England, back to Watford, and back to their families for their longest and most emotionally wrenching adventure yet.

This audiobook is a finale. It tells secrets and answers questions and lays ghosts to rest.

Carry On was conceived as a book about Chosen One stories; Any Way the Wind Blows is an ending about endings. About catharsis and closure, and how we choose to move on from the traumas and triumphs that try to define us.

Praise for Euan Mortan reading Rainbow Rowell:

"[Euan] Morton brings distinct voices and emotions to every character...Listeners will be hard-pressed to believe they aren't listening to a full-cast production." -AudioFile Magazine on Wayward Son (Earphones Award winner)

"There's something spellbinding about Euan Morton's voice, which is only appropriate for this novel set in magical England...As the story builds, there are plenty of moments of intrigue and romance that will have listeners catching their breath. Through it all, Morton stays in perfect, sympathetic step." -AudioFile Magazine on Carry On (Earphones Award winner)

"Scottish actor Euan Morton narrates and does a stunning job, especially with the complex characters of Simon and Baz...An essential purchase for fans of Harry Potter and Rainbow Rowell, as well as lovers of fantasy." -School Library Journal on Carry On (starred review)

    Good, but….

This is not a bad book. But this IS a terrible book for a trilogy. Since this is the 3rd book, this is the “ending,” and there are to many unanswered questions to conclude this as a trilogy.
If this was a serious, and there would be a 4th book answering all the unknowns, I would give this book a 4. But this is a poor ending to a trilogy.
    The narrator was great however.

    Fine, but tried my patience

Look, I know these protagonists are young, but there is still only so much poor decision making and refusal to communicate that I can take. I had to power through the first 2/3rds in increasing frustration with our heroes, although it was more fun once everyone got back together.

    Anyway the wind blows review

Very explicit read as well as a confusing plot that hold so much action it’s hard to keep track. I wish there was more of Agatha in this book

    excellent, except for Agatha

I loved how Simon and Baz's story wrapped up. lots of loose ends got tied up and it was good. I'm just annoyed at the final direction the author took for Agatha

    Magical reality

Wonderful finale to the series! I loved the world and all it’s amazing characters. Since the first book it’s been such a cool experience to read a story that shows the line between good and bad is far from straight, that it curves and loops and breaks.

I also really enjoyed a story that showed what happens in the life of a chosen one after their prophecy- and all the complications and self discovery after. Simon and Baz’s relationship was one of the most real things I’ve ever read, they argued, hurt each other, showed so many of their own imperfections and each other’s - but they grew together, worked to make things come together and learned how to be the best for each other. They were awkward, messy, and unsure, so realistic it hurt- in a good way!

I was very pleasantly happy to see Penny get the love and admiration from someone that saw her for her brain and personality- and Shepard was a very awesome and genuinely good person.

I think my only criticism was Agathas story, I really felt like it had no real purpose in the book. While it was nice to see she finally found her calling and someone to care for her that was very different then what she expected - I really felt like her chapters had no real benefit toward the plot (even with the magical goats…that ended up not having any real impact that I could tell).

Overall amazing series, one that I’ll always remember fondly!!

Not the best, but not the worst…

I wish there was more story content. It felt like half the book was just Baz and Simon laying in bed kissing and talking in circles.

The ending was very unsatisfying. There are way too many loose threads for this to be the last book in the Simon Snow trilogy. There were several easter egg-like details towards the end that seemed like they were going to lead somewhere, but they just didn’t.

If I didn’t read in the description that this was the final book of the series, I would have assumed another book was on the way.

    Another 5 chapters

I just wish we got a year later for everyone. Find out how Sheppard's relationship is fairing. Long term effects of a certain spell on Simon along with him finally putting some but not all thos familial pieces together, or if hes found out what to do with his life. Like if you're going to give one snapshot give us snapshots of them all or a sequel series.

    A simply wonderful story. ❤

The only criticism I can honestly offer is that I wish there was more of it. The best books always leave you wishing they would never end.

    I expected something else

After the first volume, that was for me mainly a mistery/detective story I found the second book had too much "action" and too little mistery. This, the third book seems to lack both. I felt I'm waiting for the actual story to start until the 4/5 of the book.
I liked, that all characters got some kind of closure.
    The performt was excellent.

    Beautiful and adventurous

This was a great end of the trilogy!!! I loved the vulnerability of Simon and Baz and their love story was everything i wanted. The audiobook was great to listen to as well.

    loooooved it!

I haven’t found myself so invested with a story for quite a while. This third part had so much character development to offer, it’s an actually satisfying wrap up (thank Merlin!) and still, I want to hear all about the rest of their lives.

Isn’t that what makes a good story?

Also, Euan Morton is one great narrator. None of his character voices ever sounds ridiculous, there’s an incredible variety and everytime he says„Baaaaaz“ I can’t help grinning.

    Tolles Ende!

Das Rätsel um Simons Mutter wird endlich aufgeklärt! Der Sprecher ist wie immer toll. Erzählstränge aus den vorherigen Büchern werden aufgeklärt, auch die, auf die man schon fast vergessen hat.

    Amazing!

Beautiful, witty and exciting story, I couldn't put it down!
The characters face personal and magical challenges, are struggling to find love and themselves, which is so relatable and very well done.
Also - the reader does a fantastic job with all the different characters and their voices!!
I loved every bit of it... it was the perfect ending to the world of Simon, Baz, Penelope and Agatha! :)

    Gelungener Abschluss!
