Description

The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob—featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter.

Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble.

They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct. But political squabbles have a bad habit of dying hard, and the Brazilian probes are still trying to take out the competition. And the Bobs have picked a fight with an older, more powerful species with a large appetite and a short temper.

Still stinging from getting their collective butts kicked in their first encounter with the Others, the Bobs now face the prospect of a decisive final battle to defend Earth and its colonies. But the Bobs are less disciplined than a herd of cats, and some of the younger copies are more concerned with their own local problems than defeating the Others.

Yet salvation may come from an unlikely source. A couple of eighth-generation Bobs have found something out in deep space. All it will take to save the Earth and perhaps all of humanity is for them to get it to Sol - unless the Others arrive first.

Satisfying End to a Fun Series

It took a while for this one to get going for me but by the end of it I felt completely satisfied. Taylor wraps up all the loose ends and gives fitting endings to all of the characters. In keeping with the other 2 books, this one kept the balance of humor, pop culture references, heartfelt moments, and action. Ray Porter continues to show why he is one of the best in the business. I look forward to his future works.

I hope that this is the ending. Not because I'm glad it is over but rather I would hate to see it be brought back and have the conclusion tainted. The subjective nature of the ending is something that my friends and I are continuing to discuss and that is what makes a great story.

Overall: 4.75/5

Clean ending to a fantastic series

Note: Early readers need to redownload to get the complete book!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As with any series ending, you always wish there was more, and this book didn't feel as complete as the others, but was still a great read. The conflicts that arose were varied, and exposes the depths of humanity's desire for power and self interest. They were not as complex as in the previous two books, and the resolution came about a bit easy at times, but it didn't take away my enjoyment. Besides, we wanted to get to the battle with the Others anyway. Again, it was over a bit too quickly, but definitely gives you a sense of finality. The only minor sticking point is the Medeiros story line doesn't feel as complete. There are some real emotional highs and lows in this book I don't want to come close to spoiling. Overall a great end to a fantastic series.

Ray Porter's performance is amazing.

Do not read this book without finishing the previous two.

The bittersweet side of Bob.

This book holds up and works a definitive conclusion to the Bobiverse. While I appreciate the nicely tied up plot threads, I feel like some of them were tied lazily. Spoilers ahead:
Bob has to defend earth from the others and that works very well, but abruptly after in about 1 minute of dialogue the others arent just repelled but completely destroyed using implausible and poorly foreshadowed devices. The other story threads seem to focus largely on Bob's growing distance from human/alien kind (living beings in general). I think this is very realistic, but its a bitter pill to swallow. The book ends with Bob largely deciding to abstract himself from all ephemeral life. Not really my desired ending but once again, at least they tied everything up.

Excellent

Excellent and imaginative. a really interesting view of what the human mind is capable of if given time. And how politics, Religious views and fanaticism can easily destroy a civilization.

Compelling Narrative; Talented Performance

Bobiverse book 3 is sets a new standard in sci-fi storytelling awesomeness - things just get more interesting in the wake of crushing Delta Pavonus defeat. The foreboding 'Others' threat maintains a constant suspense you just keep wondering about. The storyline is filled with futuristic realism and compelling plot lines. Dennis Taylor masterfully progresses his grand-plan narrative into an ever culmination climax that leaves you begging for Book 4! Very well done! You'll be taken places you've never imagined possible.

Ray Porter skillfully narrates the complex Bobiverse cast of characters; His consistency of tone with each makes the audiobook very pleasing to listen to and highly believable. His highly talented performance will lead you from laughter to anxiety and everything in between. Thank you Ray for such a great performance; I highly look forward to the next installment!

A great Continuation to a great Series

What did you love best about All These Worlds?

Everything. War, Love, Death

What was one of the most memorable moments of All These Worlds?

Without giving it away, the court case I felt like I was waiting for the verdict as much as the characters

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

He did a great job as usual

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the Enemy Ship blew some stuff up. I am leaving this not with detail because I was listening yelling No No No No... But you have to listen to it

Any additional comments?

Buy the series you won't be disappointed, it is funny, scary, overall enjoyable

Post human and full of humanity

One of the best, most imaginative series I've listened to. I hope there's more to come in the Bobiverse.

Very good, but too short ...

The story is, like the other books, very good and entertaining. It makes you think about the possibilities of the future.

All a geek could ask for

Why did soneone install those freakin' tearducts? I enjoyed this so much but in the end I was so reluctant to end it...because...then it is over for good. This trilogy was (and probably will be) one of the most enjoyable, mindboggling, laughable sci-fi-geek stuff I've expierienced. We are Bob! Forever!

Super SciFi Trilogy

Kurzweilig.

intelligent, deep thoughts and funny

within days I listened to the first two episodes of the bobiverse. and the third was not any different! I could not stop myself to dive into this idea of an artifical point of view. you got forever, what will you do with your "life"?

brilliant! can't wait to see this adopted to a series. a movie would not be enough.

I bow to the speaker for incarnating so many characters, that only vary a bit in temper.

Great story w/recording glitches

In its third book, the story of the self-replicating von-Neuman-machines called "Bob" continues strong. Also, the narration is performed very well.

However, glitches in the recording make you feel you don't get the full story; for instance, parts of Chapters 63 and 64 appear to be cut as the narrator abruptly stops in mid-sentence and, after a much longer pause than usual, continues with the next paragraph.
