The story

The history of the Thousand Sons
There are 3 stories in this book which cover 3 major events of the the chapter. from where it was and how it came to be with some very interesting facts and turns. I quite enjoyed the book as a whole but I had a really hard time with the narrator. I hated the beginning because I couldn't stand the voice. The lack of tone impersonification of different characters at the beginning was horrible compared to the previous series. It got better over time and that's not just me getting used to the voice.

Awful narrator for a wonderful book
Sadly the narrator fails to do any justice to the book and its story.
He simply reads the book, without real tone or rythm - an instant where a character grabs a cup of recaf is narrated with the same intensity than when two primarchs are about to come to blows, every character sounds alike, save for Arhiman who sounds like a queasy old man that just got out of a beating, all throughout the book.
It's just.. plain old reading, emotionless and bland.
For fifteen hours.
The story, in and of itself, is wonderful and superbly written. Unless Audible re-edit this book with a better narrator, do yourself a favour and steer clear of this one. Get a Kindle version, anything but this.
