Description
Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father - the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership.

Refreshing and humorous
Tavia Gilbert is speaking just a bit too quickly for me but to be fair English is my second language. Appart from that, her voice is pleasant and her acting is quite good. The accent she use for Bones isn't as sexy as some would expect but it's seems very realistic for an old english one. For example, the Quebec accent is like the old aristocratic french accent but a lot of French people don't like it at all and among those people, you wouldn't find a lot of them finding it sexy.
This story is so refreshing! The characters are quite good and enticing. It's rich and humorous and I'm finding myself smiling a lot listening to it.
I just listened to the Sookie Stackhouse (Southern Vampire Mysteries) series for the second time and though I found the first 10 books interesting, the following ones were sad and I found myself wanting for something more light but still adventurous. This book is perfect for that. The heroine isn't stuck in a traditional belief contradictory with her survival instinct and I'm loving it!
