Actress Glenn Close reads Washington Irving's eerie tale of romantic rivalry along the Hudson. The story pits the new schoolmaster Ichabod Crane against the local hero and bully, Brom Bones, for the hand of Katrina Van Tassel. This haunting drama climaxes with the appearance of one of the great, legendary ghosts of all time: the headless horseman. Music by Tim Story amplifies Close's spellbinding reading. This spirited adaptation reflects all the wit, fun, and drama of the early American classic. Ages six and up. Part of the award-winning Rabbit Ears series, Holiday Classics.

the music is REALLY dated. but it's a good, short version of the classic tale
Great performance by Close
Excellent story by Irving
Music is fine but would rather have had the full text
I loved this version of the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow". It is more true to the original Washington Irving story than most things Hollywood has tried. Glenn Close is exceptionally talented here! This is "a keeper."
