Description
Do you eat when you're not hungry? Or when you're angry and upset? Do you eat to control your feelings?
Allen Carr's Easyway is the most successful self-help stop-smoking method of all time. It has helped millions of smokers all over the world to quit and has since been used to treat other addictions such as drinking and gambling. Allen Carr's Easyway method works by unravelling the brainwashing that leads us to desire the very thing that is harming us, meaning that we are freed from the addiction rather than merely restricting our behaviour.
The Easyway method has now been applied to the problem of emotional eating. With Allen Carr's Easyway method, you can eat as much of your favourite foods as you want, whenever you want, as often as you want and be the exact weight you want to be, without dieting, special exercise, using willpower or feeling deprived.
Do you find that difficult to believe? Listen to this audiobook.

A Revelation
I’ve never written a book review before but I literally cried after reading this book, I’m on the verge of tearing up again because in a matter of 6 and a half hours It’s helped me free myself from a lifetime of brainwashing around food. Allen Carr and his organization are nothing short of a blessing for former addicts like myself. Thank you.

Great book if its your first one
I believe that this book could be super helpful to many people, just like “easy way to quit smoking” was helpful to me. What I didn’t expect is for these two books to be quite so similar. Some concepts were even phrased exactly the same with words switched, e.g. eating vs smoking, food vs nicotine. I don’t regret listening to it though, because every bit of advise helps and yes, same principles can be applied to different types of addiction.

Very helpful
First of all, the review that I saw here makes me believe that the reviewer was having a rather cranky day.
I have been battling emotional eating for over 39 years. I have done tons of self help books and programs. You would think by now, that I've heard it all. This book helped me greatly and has reminded me of great things that I need to constantly remember to stay well. Read it and re-read it as much as you can

Freedom
I literally love this author. Thanks to his teachings on how addictions work I stopped smoking, drinking alcohol and emotional eating. I read the specific books for each addiction.
I’m so grateful and thankful because I can maximize my life and live it at the full potential!

Felt a bit like snake oil or something
Unfortunately, this title did not speak to me at all. He repeats himself quite often and wastes far too many words on trying to convince you what his “method” will do for you while using sensational words such as “brainwashed” which made me think of a snake oil salesman. I just kept wondering where the method was.
I am already aware of all of the reasons given for emotional eating and the repercussions and was hoping for something more complex or mind changing than the information given in this book. I felt no revelations or enlightenment. In other words, the material did not seem to strike deep enough to stir any motivation in me that I have not already found in myself from my own learned knowledge of health, sugars, addiction, etc.
This book could possibly be a helpful stepping off point for someone who has never thought about their emotional eating and never before considered that they have a problem until now. I would only be able to recommend this title to someone with basically no knowledge of nutrition, physical or mental health because otherwise the information and arguments just felt repetitive and condescending.
Sad to say, my issues run deeper.
Off to continue the perpetual climb up the slippery slope of healing foods and killing foods.

Not Really Helpful
I quit smoking with the easy way to quit smoking and it was great. I thought this would be helpful for me the same way. Unfortunately this was very redundant and didn't have many new process and even each chapter in this book is posing the same ideas. I think they mentioned drug and cigarette addictions more than emotional eating. Id think it can be sumed up in two or three chapters but they drug it on for way too long. I felt like I replayed chapter 3 but it says I'm in chapter 4 so I feel like they are way to similar to even tell the difference. I'd be curious to break down the main points in each chapter to see if there are unique points or just repeated information stated differently.
I enjoyed the narrator because I am American, the way things were pronounced and words we don't use in America was fun to listen to.

This was supposed to be about food, not nicotine
Allen Carr forgot this one is now tossed to be about smoking... Most of the book is about smoking. Waste of time.

Can’t believe it’s that easy
It feels like magic, but what is magic but a mind trick? That’s what this is. I’ve been an emotional eater all my life, gaining and losing the same 30 pounds since high school. I’ve done whole 30, attempted Keto, and ran a marathon to try and rid myself of what I now understand to be the mental and physical monster that fueled my uncontrollable fits of eating junk. I’m happy to say through listening to this book I’m free. I followed the Allen Carr instructions to quit smoking a few years ago and I’ll never smoke again. This is just like that feeling, all of the sudden I have no desire for junk. Poof. It’s gone. And I know, just like I knew with the nicotine, I’ll never fall for that trap again. The freedom is intoxicating. No more diets, no more longing for garbage that perpetuates the cycle of addiction, no more wondering when I’ll fall off. I’m truly out, and you’re moments away from freeing yourself. Take the plunge, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Highly recommend!

About time!
Just listen or read it. You won’t regret it. Deconstruct the crap you thought you knew about why we eat junk food. Good luck
