Editor's review
Accomplished Audible narrator Jack Benson gives a touching performance of this short O. Henry story. After 20 Years, a tale that is equal parts clever and somber, involves two friends who have agreed to meet at an old diner after 20 years of separation. In a subtle and economic fashion, listeners learn the history of the two friends and the very different paths they chose in life. Benson's commitment to the characters ensures listeners enjoy the classic O. Henry twist in this story to its fullest.
Reviews
"[O. Henry] had a fine gift of humor and was adept at the ingenious depiction of ironic circumstances....A master in presenting vignettes of the whirligig of fortune." (The Concise Oxford Companion to American Literature)
