Saving the world is hard. Surviving your own magic is harder.
When the city of Loamfurt falls to a greater demon, a forgotten temple alliance reforms to fight back. Bernt's friend, Torvald, is called to arms, pulling Bernt into the chaos just as he manages to reestablish contact with Jori, who has roped Ed into helping her with a personal project in the hells.
It's a golden opportunity. The expedition to the Sacral Peaks will skirt the Phoenix Reaches, a touchpoint to the elemental plane of fire, and perhaps the key to stabilizing Bernt's spirit.
