A severed head, dumped outside a police station. A wave of brutal killings, engulfing the city. A message in the post, sealed with a threat.
In Edinburgh, Detective Inspector Maxwell Burns leads the police investigation, caught between the media glare and a murky underworld of drugs, gangs, smuggling and corruption. Nothing is quite as it seems, and everything points towards a life he thought he’d left behind.
In Galloway, a wealthy corporation makes a big investment in a quiet corner of rural Scotland. But who are they really? And what do they want with a disused airbase? When some thrill-seeking local teenagers turn up uninvited, it might just cost them their lives.
As the body count rises and the threads converge, Max must face his past … and whoever is using it against him.
A Snow Storm in June is a darkly funny crime novel, set in Edinburgh and rural Galloway. Perfect for fans of J.D. Kirk and Christopher Brookmyre
