Humans have colonized distant planets and moons and live alongside self-aware Artificial Intelligence entities who occasionally inhabit physical bot bodies. A relatively new settlement, the Utu-Serida binary star system, is undergoing terraforming efforts for its billions of citizens.
Myla is a marshal, employed by the Utu-Serida Unified Protectorate. During an investigation, she stumbles across a connection to Ethan, the most wanted smuggler in the system, famous for his creative methods of getting illegal goods and people past security checkpoints. Determined to bring him to justice, she assembles a team and begins tracking him down.
When their paths finally cross, they discover a secret with the potential to disrupt the entire Utu-Serida system.
