What if you woke up a little smaller every day?
Greg Host is a normal guy. Or at least he was 6'2", mid-level retail manager, owner of one judgmental cat. But when he notices he’s a fraction shorter one morning, his ordinary life begins to unravel one inch at a time. No one believes him. Doctors shrug. His mom blames dehydration. And the universe? It just keeps laughing.
Told with dry wit, aching vulnerability, and razor-sharp prose, A Short Story follows Greg’s surreal descent from average adult to urban legend as he literally and metaphorically loses stature in a world that prizes height, certainty, and control. With a journal in hand and a cat as his only witness, Greg charts the absurd and intimate details of his slow-motion vanishing act.
Part dark comedy, part existential fable, A Short Story is for anyone who’s ever felt too small in a world that demands you take up space.
