The Pragers are Hawaii's golden family - they have wealth, power, land. They also have dark secrets and forbidden passions that threaten to tear the family apart.
Meredith is in love with a pureblood Hawaiian but cannot face her father's unyielding disapproval.
Dennis, the family's fair-haired boy, hides his true desires behind his hired mistress, Adriana.
Marcus, the exiled black sheep, vengefully seduces Adriana, then realizes too late that he loves her.
And in this whirlpool of emotional and sexual blackmail one terrible danger looms over them all: the tsunami, the tropical tidal wave. Only one man knows it is coming and that man is Meredith Prager's outcast lover.
