I Listened To This Straight Thru!

What did you love best about 2 Second Lean?

I really enjoyed the fast pace and bite sized chapters. I'm a LEAN/Six Sigma green belt and I had a pretty good understanding of the basics prior to this, but I cued this up on a four hour drive from Houston to Dallas and back and listened straight through to the end. The author does a great job of making LEAN understandable and FUN! It was a great listen!

What about Paul A. Akers’s performance did you like?

Very engaging. Well done narration.

Useful

I don’t like the author’s excitement level. It seems somehow inauthentic. The book has some great ideas that are easily accessible to the layman despite his odd style.

Read it. Listen to it. Implement. REPEAT.

Giving the book 5-stars was the easy part. Implementing the ideas and developing a culture such as the one at Fastcap requires a little more work on the reader's part.

Paul Akers is a fascinating, inspiring "regular guy". Take what you will from this, but miss out on the lessons at your peril.

The delivery is excellent too, with Mr. Akers' passion coming through in spades throughout.

I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Amazing story

This is the book or speech I have heard about Lean that make the approach so easy to understand with practical supporting stories. Highly encouraged now to make a difference in life and others that I interact with.

So helpful

I loved the book. I love the videos. I also thought hearing the author read this using a LEAN methodology was even more inspiring. Starting today at work making 2 second improvements. Wish me luck.

This probably works for somebody

Not being an MBA or a beginner in Product Management in manufacturing the first half of the book just sounded like a hype infomercial. I was hoping for a few gems but didn't really hear anything different.

Couldn't continue due to narration and the book not telling me anything I didn't know.

On the flip side if you don't have any idea about lean and haven't had any formal training or exposure to Lean philosophy this could be for you.
