I genuinely enjoyed this book. It gives some great opinions on what is being human and illustrates the long path humanity has ventured to get to this state. If I had to point out a negative it would perhaps be the excessive glorification of where we are now as a society.

I chose this book for it's unorthodox content but effectively what the speaker calls lectures are more like anecdotes of spy stories. Don't get me wrong they were certainly interesting, but I would expect a bit more detail in a great courses lecture.
