Histoire
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Mixed feelings
Rédigé le : 05/04/2020
First I found the book funny, then at some ppint I found it a little bit vulgar since there are a lot of "shit words" but I am aware of that being normal it such book and context especially with the hard experiences she lived. At the end I had mixed feelings between admiration of her persistance and courage and distance since the story is way far from my world. But I respect Tiffany history, I respect her. She lived not an easy life and I guess many people could find them selves in this book (which is not my case) but still I like her efforts and the way she turned drama into comedy! Funny book with good give away lessons.

Histoire
In her hit Netflix comedy special, Baby Cobra, an eight-month pregnant Ali Wong resonated so strongly that she even became a popular Halloween costume. Wong told the world her remarkably unfiltered thoughts on marriage, sex, Asian culture, working women, and why you never see new mom comics on stage but you sure see plenty of new dads. The sharp insights and humor are even more personal in this completely original collection. She shares the wisdom she’s learned from a life in comedy and reveals stories from her life off stage.

It's a courageous, honest and funny story. I really like it and I laughed a lot! I loved also the last chapter that allows to see the father point of you and how living witha famous wife could be possible especially when he explained how he learnt to deal with being the main character of the jokes of his partner. I liked the performance of the reader!

Histoire
Superstar comedian and Hollywood box-office star Kevin Hart turns his immense talent to the written word by writing some words. Some of those words include: the, a, for, above, and even even. Put them together and you have the funniest, most heartfelt, and most inspirational memoir on survival, success, and the importance of believing in yourself since Old Yeller.

I love the performance of Kevin Hart while reading the book. I like also the story but I find the book a little bit too long.

Histoire
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

J'ai adoré ce livre qui permet d'voir une idée sur l'histore, le racisme dans une maniére comédienne légère. J'ai adoré la version audio avec les intonations et les différentes immitations de voix
