I liked the full version better, this short one goes too fast in solving the mystery !

Most puzzling of all are the bones discovered at a remote farm outside Charlotte. The remains seem to be of animal origin, but Tempe is shocked when she gets them to her lab. Why are the X rays and DNA so perplexing? Who is trying to keep Tempe from the answers? Someone is following her, and must be stopped before it's too late.

A good listen, a very good performance by the reader, but the ending is extremely rushed and barely understandable... too bad !

I liked reading the book more than listening to it - even though I'm a Deaver/Rhyme fan😥, both in books and audiobooks. This story is very technical and complex, and I think it's too complicated to try and understand, and at the same time follow and remember the electricity aspects, + differentiate the various agents/witnesses/suspects involved in the case.

Histoire
On a freezing December night, with a full moon hovering in the black sky over New York City, two people are brutally murdered, the death scenes marked by eerie, matching calling cards: moon-faced clocks investigators fear ticked away the victims' last moments on earth. Renowned criminologist Lincoln Rhyme immediately identifies the clock distributor and has the chilling realization that the killer, who has dubbed himself the Watchmaker, has more murders planned in the hours to come.

Une histoire un brin trop compliquée à mon goût (combien de fois d'affilée est-ce que l'on va se laisser prendre ?) mais une très belle performance de Joe Mantegna, de Criminal Minds !
