great book, well narrated

nicely portrays Horus as a character
the ending goes a bit quick in my opinion, but we'll see if it is further explained in False Gods (the next one in the series)

A good history and starting point for all the Horus Hersey books. It was my 2nd book of the series, after Mechanicum, and it truly was fun and entretain to listen. It has action ,history and lots and lots of pre-hersey lore. You get to know the Luna Wolves and Horus, first hand. And it is just fantastic!

The book is excellent, although it could be a bit confusing for someone not familiar with the 40k universe. The narrator is really, really good and can give life to many characters seamlessly. Definitely recommend it. 9.75/10
