Bill Richardson was a wealthy Texas oilman, decorated war veteran, and one of the best competitive pigeon shooters in the country. In August 1971, he was ambushed outside his Corpus Christi home--shot in the chest and left for dead. His murder shocked the community and terrified those closest to him. But behind Richardson's seemingly glamorous lifestyle was a shadowy world of high-stakes gambling, organized crime, and dangerous alliances. More than 50 years later, new evidence and interviews shed light on who may have wanted Richardson dead and how his death cast a shadow over the Richardson family for generations.
