This week, On The Record with Randy Beamer gets an update on voting with Michele Carew, Elections Administrator for Bexar County. She explains how some complaints that votes on the ballot are “changing” is due to operator error, not any technical issue by the county. The electronic ballot machines require a more intentional touch than our phones, and that has resulted in some people not pushing the right selection.
Randy also gets an update on the latest plans for Wolff Stadium, which is scheduled for demolition. District 6 Council Rep Ric Galvan talks about the community input they are hearing for the site, and what the current plans are when the stadium comes down.
On Reporter’s Roundtable, Express News columnist Chris Tomlinson shares his story on the record $1-Billion dollars being spent on the midterm election for statewide offices in Texas. Paxton has spent $180-million dollars on his campaign so far. Could this record spending be the starting point for real discussions on campaign finance?
