Nearly a year ago, Coach Miki led a meditation on liminal space that didn't quite land. This week she opens the vault on it — and rebuilds it — after a year that became her own bardo: a stretch of dissolving, waiting, and quiet becoming that she's only now beginning to understand. This is an episode about the invisible era between who you've been and who you're becoming.
Then she guides you through the reimagined practice: rising above the twilight, resting inside the chrysalis, and letting your wings begin to open.
In this episode:
- Liminal space and the threshold (limen)
- The grey line: why the Earth is always, somewhere, in twilight
- Bardo — the Tibetan "in-between," and the bardo of this life
- Śūnyatā: emptiness as spaciousness, not absence
- Imaginal discs and what really happens inside a chrysalis
- Why this practice didn't land the first time — and what a year in the bardo taught her
- A thank-you to Jay Chase (@thejaychase) and the Don't Touch My Mindset community
- Guided practice: The Invisible Era — the grey line, the chrysalis, and the wings
Mantra: I am not lost in the in-between. I am being remade in the unseen.
Reflect:
- Where in your life are you standing in a doorway — not who you were, not yet who you're becoming?
- What might be possible if the in-between felt nourishing instead of frightening?
Practice this week: Notice the micro-bardos: the pause before you answer, the moment you open a door. And if you can, take a short walk at dusk and let the in-between light remind you how beautiful transition can be.
