Ron was talking about his kids' baseball team. Naturally, we took it personally.

Because whether we're talking about the Cubs, Cardinals, Bears, Newcastle, Villa, or the podcast itself, the same question applies: Which version is showing up tonight?

The version that gives us reason to believe? The version that makes us question why we do this to ourselves? The version that looks competent for just long enough to get our hopes up before making us regret having them?

(And then there's St. Louis CITY SC, which has apparently decided to sit this particular existential crisis out. For now.)
