Your kids are going to be shaped by somebody. God put you first in line.
Week 9 picks up right where Stand in the Gap left off: last week was about being the man who stands in the gap, and this week is about raising one. Brian walks through Deuteronomy 6:6-7, where Moses hands the job of discipleship to fathers, not priests, and puts it in the most ordinary moments of the day: sitting at home, walking along the road, lying down, and getting up. It starts with God's Word on your own heart first, because you can't hand down what you don't carry.
Today's charge: Tonight, read Deuteronomy 6:4-9 out loud at your table and tell your family one thing God has done for you this year. Then write down the three most ordinary moments you have with your kids each day.
