"Of course, I knew what was going to happen. Standing on a river bank, following the blue Toyota pickup truck on the other side with my eyes. Way too fast. The laws of physics said it was impossibly fast for the road it careened down. Then, the sharp right turn before the bridge. I'd seen this movie before, hadn't I? Slow motion, no happy ending on the replay, no matter how much I might wish it so.
