    Description

The best way to describe The Takeaway is to listen to what other thought leaders are saying....

A short, furry, ferocious man took the stage at The Orlando Timeshare Hut, with an unmistakable sense of urgency. He was comical at first glance. Neanderthal-like, with enormous haunches. As his football coach at Yale remarked decades prior, "He had a high rump perfect for the power needed to play nose guard." He was the boss, and his gaze to the audience of 250 "sales associates" from his timeshare company behemoth said as much.

In fact, that gaze was a thing of legend; it stopped folks in their tracks. You found yourself in a curious state when his brown eyes locked into yours. He never used PowerPoint, calling it the biggest sham in the history of persuasion and business development. Maybe an image or two on the screen, but that's it. His eyes were the only projectors he needed.

His energy level seemed boundless, of high quality, and ignited by an uncommon sense of purpose. Listeners didn't know it, but for 30 minutes before his speeches, the timeshare industry patriarch would rest almost motionless, like a great lion on the African plain, managing his energy with full intention. But when the moment came and he took the stage...you, the listener, were going to do whatever he wanted. It was a God-given attribute, his speech giving - then sculpted, curated, and fine-tuned from tireless intention and grit.

“Humor has serious potential to transform how we think, feel and act - strengthening connections and making memories that last. For anyone serious about creating a tremendous client experience, The Takeaway will not only have them laughing out loud, it’ll have them laughing all the way to the bank!” (Heidi Hanna, PhD, executive director of the American Institute on Stress)

"Through masterful storytelling, John brings purpose, authenticity, meaning making and engagement in the sales process to a whole new level. He has nailed it again!" (Jim Loehr, founder and CEO of the Human Performance Institute, best-selling author of The Power of Full Engagement)

"In a fast and furious world where people are more connected than ever, but also, more disconnected, Dr. Evans points us toward what we all crave - authentic caring in relationships. It brings meaning to the sale, both for those making the sale and those who are the customers. It goes far beyond the world of sales. I work with urban youth and our premium game-changer in their lives is authentic relationships. Way to speak to the heart and make a real meaningful difference, Dr. Evans!" (Debbie Speck, CEO, Elevate USA)
