À propos de ce contenu audio

Introducing Bubba Mabry, a tough, comical private eye who's happy to get 30 bucks an hour acting as a security guard for some celebrity. In this case, it's the king himself, back from the dead and determined to keep a low profile - the one and only Elvis.

Seems some fan is harassing him and Bubba is hired to tail the guy, who turns out to be a tabloid hack. But when two bodies turn up and Bubba ends up as the prime suspect, he turns investigator. It seems his alibi, Elvis himself, has flown the coop, leaving Bubba to the vultures. With a fireball brunette, a drop-dead blond, and tabloid reporters on his heels, he sets off to find the "king".

"Narrator Gene Engene does an absolutely terrific job of conveying the humor and frantic pace of this comic crime novel. He does a wonderful imitation of Elvis, but he is even better with the more outrageous characters. To the folks at Books in Motion, I can only say...thank you, thank you very much." (Library Journal)
"Steve Brewer gives a fast-paced and witty look at how it might be if America's No. 1 celebrity really was alive. A wonderful new entry in the Private Eye field." (Tony Hillerman)
"A murder mystery filled with Albuquerque color . . . and offbeat characters anyone will enjoy." (Albuquerque Journal)
